How to check your Blackberry OS Version (in pre 10 devices):
1. From the Home screen, scroll to the "Options" icon and press the trackwheel or rollerball. You will see the Device Options screen.
2. Select "About" by pressing the trackwheel. The BlackBerry model number will appear at the top of the "About" screen; your application version is directly under it.
Alternatively, from the home screen, press and hold these 3 keys in succession: Alt-Shift-h to display the help screen that will show the OS version.
